We are a family-owned company, based in South Bend, Indiana. We feel strongly that remaining a family-owned business allows us to maintain the service and quality we have become famous for. We have no plans to franchise or go public.
4Are Drive & Shine Gold Gift Cards purchased at Costco, Sam’s Club, or schools good on all services?
Yes, they are good on all non- promotional offers.
5Does Drive & Shine accept checks?
No, we accept cash and credit cards.
6Do you plan on opening more locations?
We are always looking for good locations.
7How much water do you use? Is it environmentally friendly to go to Drive & Shine Car Wash?
Compared to the average amount of fresh water a person might use when washing his or her vehicle in the driveway with a hose, we only use about 1/3 of that amount of water (150 gallons in the driveway vs 55 gallons at Drive & Shine). Also, Drive & Shine Car Wash Carwash locations have varying levels of water reclamation systems which allow us to filter, clean and re-use some of the water used in our wash process. What is more, at all locations, used water runs directly to a unique collection system that filters the water and removes harmful sediments and oil before it reaches local sewers. Providing a clean, dry, and shiny car for all our customers while also trying to do our part to conserve natural resources such as water is extremely important to us.

CAR WASH

1What if I am not satisfied with my wash?
If you are not satisfied with your wash, we will be happy to rewash your vehicle free of charge. Please ask to speak to the manager on duty.
2Can you wash soft top convertibles?
Yes. Our equipment is gentle enough for soft-top convertibles in good condition. We also turn off the high-pressure sprayers to avoid any possibility of damage to the soft-top
3How do I know I receive the wash I paid for?
Through innovative technology, our point of sales system communicates with our tunnel controller as to what car is getting what wash. Also, through CarPics® technology, our team can see each car’s wash in real-time. We utilize RFID, and Loop system to identify and verify each vehicle.
4Do you use brushes or leave swirl marks on your paint?
No, Drive & Shine Car Wash uses Neoglide Foam Wraps. They are extremely gentle to today's soft clearcoat cars, resists grit, non-scratching. Neoglide is a soft but durable foam sponge material that has been proven through the years to be very durable but gentle to your car. Other materials have been known to leave your car dull and hazy looking, while Neoglide polishes your car to a gleaming shine.
5Do I get a quality wash when you are busy?
The technology we use allows us to give you the same quality of car wash, regardless of how busy we are.
6How much water do you use? Is it environmentally friendly to go to Drive & Shine Car Wash?

7What are the size limits for vehicles going through the wash tunnels?
  • Vehicles above 84” in height.
  • Vehicles wider than 73” from inside driver tire to outside passenger tire (usually tires outside frame)
  • Vehicles that sit lower than 5” to the ground.
  • Vehicles with tires wider than 13.5”
8What are the vehicle restrictions?
  • Vehicles above 84” in height.
  • Vehicles wider than 73” from inside driver tire to outside passenger tire (usually tires outside frame)
  • Vehicles that sit lower than 5” to the ground.
  • Vehicles with tires wider than 13.5”
  • Trucks with beds containing fuel tank gun and hose
  • Trucks with Dual rear tires (dually)

  • Full-size Hummers, Ford Raptors, Nissan NV, Ford Transit, Dodge Promaster, All limousines.
  • Any conversion van or any van with low profile side steps
  • Oversize mirrors that customer does not fold (do not fold them to avoid cracking them.)
  • Vehicles with permanently affixed tripod-style mirrors
  • Vehicles in which one of the tires has been replaced with the narrow spare tire.
  • Power antennas that cannot be retracted
  • Vehicles with ski racks, bike racks, or any rear mounted racks.
  • Vehicles with excessive damage (cracked windshield, missing bumper etc)
  • Excessively dirty vehicles (mud, dirt, debris) (unless we are slow; we can wash but must have excessively dirty charge and pressure washed prior to sending through the tunnel).
9If you have any of the following, we cannot be responsible for damage that might occur and caution against getting your vehicle washed.
  • Spare tire covers
  • Non-Factory parts of modifications (Including LED bars).
  • Previously chipped or cracked paint
  • Loose, cracked, rusted, previously damaged parts.
  • Cracked or chipped windshield.
  • Vehicles 15 years or older
10Can you wash Dually Trucks?
No, we do not wash Dually Trucks in our tunnels.

VIP MEMBERSHIP

1Can I use my VIP membership on more than one vehicle?
Our VIP memberships are a great way to save money on car washes. With such a significant savings, we can only allow one vehicle per VIP account. You may purchase a one-year VIP prepaid membership and get the 12th month free.
2How often can I wash my car with my VIP membership?
You can wash your car Once a Day. As often as you would like each month that your Unlimited membership remains active!
3How do I find my VIP Membership number?
Your VIP Membership number will be the code from the RFID sticker that was affixed to your windshield when you purchased your plan. This is an 11-digit number separated with a plus (+) symbol. (12345+123456).
4Do I need my VIP Membership number to cancel my plan or update on credit card of file?
Yes, your VIP Membership number can be found under the barcode located on the windshield of your vehicle, if you are unable to find this number please contact VIP@driveandshine.com. This is an 11-digit number separated with a plus (+) symbol. (12345+123456).
5How do I change my credit card of file or cancel my VIP Membership?
Go to www.driveandshine.com. Your VIP Membership number can be found under the barcode located on the windshield of your vehicle, if you are unable to find this number please contact VIP@driveandshine.com. This is an 11-digit number separated with a plus (+) symbol. (12345+123456).
6Do I need a credit card to sign up for a membership?
Yes. A credit or debit card is required for sign up. Drive & Shine offers prepaid VIP Memberships that you may purchase at any location.
7Can I change my membership package?
Yes. You can change your package at any time at your convenient Drive & Shine location.
8Where can I use my unlimited plan?
You can use your Unlimited plan at any Drive & Shine Car Wash.
9How long does it take for my plan to be canceled?
To allow processing time, any updates should be completed 24 hours prior to the billing date on which your credit card is charged. If you cancel, your plan will remain active until the next billing date and you may continue to wash during this time.
10Will I receive a refund after canceling my plan?
No, you will not receive a refund. Your plan will remain active until the next billing date.
11I need a receipt for the monthly charges to get reimbursed from my employer. Can I get a receipt sent to me each month?
Yes, email VIP@driveandshine.com with your name, Unlimited Pass Number, and the email you would like to have receipts sent to. We will set you up to receive your receipts via email each month.
12What if I change my mind after I submit my cancellation request?
You will need to stop by a location to reactivate your plan or contact VIP customer support at VIP@driveandshine.com.
13Is there a contract for VIP Unlimited Membership at Drive & Shine Car Wash?
No, you may cancel your membership at any time at least 24 hours before your monthly billing date online here.
14I have a new vehicle. How do I transfer my pass to another vehicle?
If you have your pass number, please visit any Drive & Shine Car Wash location to transfer a new pass to a different vehicle. If you need your pass number, please contact us at VIP@driveandshine.com
15Unlimited Terms & Conditions
  • All unlimited packages and plans are a monthly automatic recharge subscription. The credit/debit card on file will be charged every month. This monthly charge will typically take place on the enrollment date, but occasionally the charge may process a day early or a day late.
  • Unlimited Club membership is an automatic recharge program that will remain in effect until you cancel your membership online at www.driveandshine.com. Cancellation must be made 24 hours before your monthly billing date.
  • Customer Support email is VIP@driveandshine.com. We will respond within 2 business days.
  • No refunds will be given for mid-month cancellations or for billing cycles with no wash usage.
  • Drive & Shine Car Wash may terminate plan anytime if the charge is declined in the credit card processing system.
  • Monthly rate may increase without individual member notification from Drive & Shine Car Wash. However, passive notification of any increases to our regularly advertised plan pricing will be posted at all locations in advance of the price increase taking effect.
  • Unlimited passes are good for one vehicle only and must remain securely adhered to the interior bottom of the front windshield on the driver’s side.
  • Vehicle must meet Drive & Shine safety guidelines. Enrollment does not guarantee that these guidelines have been satisfied.
  • Drive & Shine Car Wash reserves the right to terminate unlimited accounts at any time for abuse and/or safety concerns. When flagged for abuse or safety, cancellations may take place with or without notice.
  • Drive & Shine Car Wash reserves the right to modify or cancel this program and the membership at any time.
  • Drive & Shine Car Wash reserves the right to close locations due to inclement weather, holidays, equipment maintenance, and upgrades.
  • By providing your email, you agree to be contacted by Drive & Shine to help manage your account and provide you with important updates regarding services and promotions provided Drive & Shine.
  • Cash or Drive & Shine Gift Cards cannot be accepted for automatic recharge plans. Frequent washers who want to pay cash may purchase a 3/6/12 month Prepaid Unlimited pass.
  • Program activation is available only through Drive & Shine Car Wash location(s) or online. Reactivation can be done at the car wash location.
  • Enrollment into the Drive & Shine Car Wash VIP Unlimited Membership is considered acceptance of these terms and conditions.
  • INTERIOR SERVICES

    1What locations offer Interior Services?
    Currently, we offer Interior Clean and Full-Detail Service at our Mishawaka, South Bend Ironwood and Schererville, Indiana locations. Our South Bend Michigan St., Indiana, Niles and Kalamazoo, Michigan locations have self-serve vacuum areas where you can vacuum, clean your mats, and use an air tool plus free use of towels.
    2What is the difference between Interior Clean and a Full Detail?
    Full detailing is a deep cleaning of all surfaces inside and outside of your vehicle. Interior clean is a 10-minute maintenance service that includes cleaning of vinyl mats, Interior windows washed, door board and jambs wiped, carpets vacuumed and outside towel dry. Full detailing is recommended for excessively dirty vehicles.

    We offer full detailing at our Mishawaka, South Bend Ironwood and Schererville locations. Please contact the store directly to make an appointment for full detailing.

    EXPRESS LUBE

    1Do I need an appointment for services in the express oil change lube center?
    No, you never need an appointment for any services in our lube centers. Come when it works best for you.
    2How long does an express oil change lube take?
    It only takes about 10 minutes.
    3What does the $25 Oil Change include?
    Up to 5 quarts of conventional oil included. Filter. Not valid with any other promotions, no car wash included. Other fees may apply.
    4Can I stay in my vehicle during an Express Oil Change?
    Yes
    5What does Drive & Shine do with used oil?
    We recycle oil through our heating systems.
